OOTD #18

The heat wave here in Michigan seems to just be calming down, and it’s now starting to feel a little more like Autumn.

For me, that’s not really a good thing, since Michigan can get pretty frigid cold when it hits Fall in October, but I guess I’ll just have to accept it, and roll with mother nature.

So playing on the slightly cooler but comfortable weather, I thought it would be a good idea to wear something that matched the current temperature as it transitions, but at the same time still looks stylish and cute. Which is why I opted for a slouchy red beret (because they’re the perfect Fall hat) a sweater, a black, red and floral skirt and my black combat boots that kind of look like Dr Martens but aren’t.

I like to call this my edgy French girl look, since of course the hat makes it look Parisian chic, but then the dark colors plus the boots make it look more edgy punk, which I think is a great combo.
