Why I Took A Break From Blogging

Hey guys, long time no chat! It’s been a hot minute since I last put up a blog post, but I’m back!

The reason that I took a break was all due to anxiety. The blog simply became too much. Not sure if all bloggers go through this, but I felt like I was putting a lot of time and energy into writing, and it wasn’t paying off or getting the proper recognition that I wanted.

And I know that sounds like the wrong reason to stop blogging, but I think everyone can agree that it can be annoying when you put in a lot of hard work into something and it doesn’t get the validation that you would like.

After I would spend hours and sometimes days putting together a post, I just felt drained and like I was stressing over a blog that didn’t amount to anything.

The good news is that after three years of taking a break, I had time to really reflect on where I went wrong with my blog and what I could do to improve it. And one of the main issues I had was setting up unrealistic goals that weren’t obtainable. I wanted my blog to blow up overnight, get hundreds of views and likes, and be the next “it” blog, and of course that type of luck isn’t with everyone.

Now, I’m looking at blogging much more realistically, and trying to blog because I want to share interesting content and thoughts, and not trying to make a hit piece.

So with that being said, you guys can expect a blog post maybe once a week or every other week from now on, with a couple of random breaks for the sake of mental health, haha!

Anyway though, for those of you that stuck around this long, you’re a real one and I appreciate you for still following this abbandone blog.

See you soon!

xoxo – Arianna♥
