My Word For 2024

Choosing a word of the year is a great way to set a focus for your goals and aspirations. It can be a powerful tool for holding yourself accountable and staying motivated throughout the year.

In this blog post, I’m sharing my word for 2024: consistent. I’ve chosen this word because there are a lot of areas of my life where I want to be more consistent, such as my faith, reading, work, and my family relationships.

To be honest, I want to be consistent in doing my best in all areas of my life, because being consistent in good things, can open up to so many possibilities. For example, being consistent in prayer will build a better relationship with God, or being consistent in doing your best in work could lead to a promotion.

If you’re hesitant to stick to a word of the year, I would love to show you some benefits of why it’s good to abide by one, and how to choose one.

The benefits of choosing a word of the year

  • It helps you focus on your goals. When you have a specific word in mind, it can help you stay focused on your goals and make decisions that align with your priorities.
  • It holds you accountable. Having a word of the year can help you stay accountable to your plan. When you’re tempted to sway here and there, you can remind yourself of your word and why you chose it in the first place.
  • It motivates you to keep going. When you’re feeling discouraged, your word of the year can be a source of motivation. It can remind you of what you’re working towards and help you stay on track.

How to choose your word of the year:

  • Think about what you want. What do you want to achieve in the next year? What areas of your life do you want to improve?
  • Choose a word that inspires you. Your word of the year should be something that you’re excited about and that motivates you.
  • Write your word down. Put your word of the year in a place where you’ll see it every day, such as your fridge, mirror, desk or on your electronic device. This will help you stay mindful of your goals and stay on track.

Lastly, don’t put your word on a pedestal. It’s easy to get wrapped up in your plans and expectations, but it’s important to remember that your word is just a guideline. Keep your life balanced and don’t let your word of the year become an obsession. If things don’t go according to plan, don’t beat yourself up, It’s not the end of the world.

In conclusion, I hope this blog post has inspired you to choose a word of the year for yourself and to hold yourself to something better. Let me know in the comments section what word you want to focus on for 2024 and why you chose it. Thanks for reading!
